Our People

Gerald F. Hemphill

Principal Agent, CIC, LUTCF

An agent in the metro-Richmond area since 1993, Gerald represents all lines of insurance, specializing in commercial and life insurance risks. He was an agent for a large domestic carrier for five years and has been principal of his own agency ever since.

In 1996, he earned his LUTCF (Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow) designation, and in 2002, completed his CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation. He is a graduate of Campbell University and Fork Union Military Academy.

In addition to his designations, he holds a property and casualty, life, health and annuity license. He and his wife have two daughters, Ashley and Taylor. He was President of the PIA of VA/DC (Prof Insurance Agents Assoc.) in 2010 and has served on the National Board for PIA since 2013. Named PIA Va/DC Agent of the Year in 2012.

Lori B. Hemphill

Agent, Account Manager

Working with Gerald, her husband, since G.F.H. Insurance Agency Inc moved to the West End in October 2001, Lori brings over twenty years of administrative and insurance experience. She served as a paralegal for ten years and was a licensed title insurance underwriter.

She is a graduate of Campbell University, has her Property and Casualty license and has been a personal lines manager for over 10 years. She has a particular skill for complicated home, auto, umbrella, rental, and seasonal risks. She oversees our dedicated personal lines staff.

Jennifer Mann

Personal Lines Account Manager

Jennifer has been in the insurance industry for over twelve years. She is Property and Casualty licensed in Virginia. She works with Lori Hemphill in personal lines. She also has marketing background experience working in Disaster Restoration Services.

Raelyn Acosta

Commercial Accounts Manager

Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, Raelyn knows the area well. Raelyn is our commercial account manager and works alongside Gerald.

She is Property and Casualty licensed in Virginia. She specializes in all aspects of Commercial Insurance, whether it be new business, billing, claims, policy details, or account management. She is happy to help in any way she can!

Michael A. Paschal

Agent, Marketing & Account Development


A licensed insurance agent as of 2021 Michael is an excited young insurance professional that was raised in the Mechanicsville area of Richmond. He brings our insureds the loyalty, dedication and selfless service that was instilled in him during his time serving in the US ARMY as an infantryman.


After his time in service in the ARMY completed, Michael pursued training as an Automotive Technician specializing in classic cars, performance, and restoration for almost a decade. His unique experience in the automotive industry gives GFH Insurance Agency a professional level of understanding to help meet your specialized insurance needs.

Joseph T Fielden

Joseph T Fielden

Joe has worked with many families in his nearly 44 years in the funeral industry as a licensed funeral director in Virginia. He has worked in both corporate and private funeral homes in management positions. Working as a compliance consultant throughout the Mid-Atlantic states for nearly 14 years; his knowledge of the compliance requirements with federal and multiple state regulations for this industry gives Joe the ability to work with funeral homeowners and managers in minimizing risk exposure.

Joe also serves on the Board of Directors for the Commonwealth Transfusion Foundation. CTF is a non-profit, private foundation whose mission is to inspire and champion research and education for a safe and sustainable blood supply in the U.S.
